All Inclusive Vacations Sought After By HolidaymakersPackage holidays to exotic destinations are becoming increasingly popular among Britons, new research indicates.

In a study carried out by Halifax Travel Insurance, it was revealed that some 4.3 million people - about one in ten - go on a package holiday every year. Out of this type of excursion, all-inclusive vacations were indicated as being most popular, making up 33 per cent of these holidays. Here all food and drinks are included in the cost of the overall break, with 800,000 consumers annually going on this type of vacation. Meanwhile, half-board breaks were shown to account for a fifth of package deal vacations. Overall, Egypt was shown to be the most popular location for an exotic holiday.

Those living in the midlands were shown to be looking the most towards an all-inclusive package holiday. Some 43 per cent of tourists from the region were indicated as going on this type of vacation. Meanwhile, these breaks are also shown to be popular with both consumers in Scotland and those living in Wales and the south-west of England with 40 and 33 per cent of consumers respectively going on all-inclusive exotic holidays. On the other hand, just over a quarter (26 per cent) of package holiday travellers in the south-east of the country will go on an all-inclusive break.

When planning the holiday of a lifetime, consumers may find that taking out a personal loan can prove to be of assistance.

Paul Birkhead, senior underwriting manager for Halifax Travel Insurance, said: “Our research strongly suggests that the idea of a holiday, to most, is a room with pool and somewhere to eat. Package holidays such as all-inclusive [offers] allow Brits to arrive and stay put for the duration and it certainly makes financial sense to make the most of the facilities as this is what you are paying for.

However, he claimed that travel insurance is something which is not included within the price of an all-inclusive holiday and that this is an area holidaymakers should incorporate into the costs when organising a vacation. Mr Birkhead went on to report that tourists should also be aware that they can still experience a mishap within their hotel, regardless of whether or not they choose not to leave their accommodation.

“Holiday insurance is still a necessity regardless of what you plan to do on your break. People intending to stay in the confines of the resort will still need cover as accidents can happen by the pool, your luggage can still go missing or your holiday can be cut short for unforeseen reasons,” he stated.

When planning a dream break in a far-flung corner of the globe, those looking to find an effective way to pay for such a break might wish to consider taking out a personal loan. By doing so, holidaymakers may be able to meet the cost of flights, accommodation and excursions quickly. Furthermore, the financial assistance that a cheap personal loan provides could allow tourists to purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy. A personal loan might also be of help to Britons planning a short-haul break. Recently a study by the Post Office showed that destinations in eastern Europe, such as Riga, Dubrovnik and Krakow, are becoming increasingly popular with travellers. In addition, short breaks were stated as being sought after due to concerns by Britons about the impact of the looming financial recession.
